Deck The Halls

If you know we really well, you know I have a weakness for little chairs, country and the color RED! When I found this Christmas Tree from Better Homes and Gardens, it brought big smiles and became my inspiration! It makes me want to paint my little chairs RED!

Welcome to Candy Cane Lane.....my tree is an "Old Toy" theme with candy treats, teddy bears, rocking horses, Raggedy Ann and Andy, Santa Claus, quilts and a tribute to children!

My kids are growing up and most of the ornaments I have collected through the years belong to them. Many happy memories of stick rocking horses, trikes and wagons!

In our Family Room, we will welcome our family tree with ornaments from favorite memories, hand made preschool and school ornaments, Christmas art work, photos of my kids sitting on Santa! All the ornaments from living life!

"It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!"

Be Attitudes Quilt

My "Be Attitudes" Quilt is finally finished! I am so glad to have it done before the Holidays! It is a quilt that will be used more for teaching! When I first saw this quilt, I fell in love with the quilt squares, one for each month and of course the "Be Attitudes"! This quilt pattern/design is by Nancy Halvorsen. I love her patterns. This pattern has been out for a couple of years.

My favorites- Be grateful and Be Joyful! Can you believe only 49 days until Christmas? WOW!

Welcome November

I laugh at these signs! "Quilting that crazy thing we do" is my favorite. Sometimes, I ask myself-Why am I cutting all this fabric up, only to sew it all back together? It truly is the crazy thing we do! Although, in the end, we have a masterpiece, a keepsake, and a story to tell. Every quilt has a story, a journey, much like life.
I will soon be done with a quilt that I started a few years ago. It has required a lot of workmanship, so it has taken over two years to complete. I can't wait to hang it in my home. It is a quilt that I hope my children will appreciate and take to heart! I'm going to hang in where they see it everyday! It is a quilt that reminds us to be Grateful, kind, loving, happy and all the qualities we want our children to have.

Rebecca's home is filled with Handmade creativity everywhere! The Halloween quilt (yellow brick road pattern) will greet you as you walk in the front door, along with a loving atmospere that is felt the minute you walk in to her home! Around the corner you will find a CHRISTMAS TREE decorated for Halloween--gotta love a Halloween tree!
In the Kitchen you will find A Countdown to HALLOWEEN calender created by Rebecca, inspired by Pottery Barn! The pockets hold treats and fun surprises!

What FUN, A huge tree branch that Rebecca found and worked her Halloween magic to create a festive, spooky Tree to greet guests at the front door! Check out the Halloween treats made from donut holes from another crafty friend who LOVES Halloween!
"Help me find me Bones" a Halloween Childrens game, hide the bones in the yard, the kids find the bones and stick them on the skeleton!
